Who could pass on these carrots? Aren't they cute - and so-SOO easy to make. Here is what you need to make your own bunch :-)
orange fabric "torn" in to 1" strips
green fabric
styrofoam cones
pipe cleaners (I think these are also called Chenille Stems?)
hot glue gun
scissors
iron
(1) Tear orange fabric in to 1" wide strips. Remove extra threads and press open with an iron if needed.
(2) Begin wrapping orange fabric around cone - dot hot glue sparingly, only to tack in place every couple of wraps. You may need to scrunch fabric in a few places to keep the strips wrapping around the cone so it looks "carrot-like."
(3) Cut out green fabric in the shape of "carrot tops" - (refer to pattern in picture) 3 leafs per carrot.
(4) Cut pipe cleaner in half - fold - glue in place down the center of the leaf (don't glue to far up the leaf - you want the leaf to bend a bit - like the tops of carrots.) Run another line of glue along the top of the pipe cleaner then fold fabric together - this gives the leaf some shape. (Use any color pipe cleaner you want ... I didn't have any green so used brown.)
(5) Stick the "tops" in to the carrot (I poked 3 holes with my scissors then pushed the pipe cleaner in ... so easy, I didn't even use glue - just poked them in.
(6) Carrots are now ready to serve (LOL!!!) Don't they look so cute in my little Bunny Garden.
